Va Presto
BACKGROUND
Va Presto, which means "go fast" in Italian, is a NY-based fast Italian restaurant founded by John Scotto, a member of the famed Scotto food family who are frequent guests on The Today Show and owner of Fresco by Scotto in Midtown.
Identity | Visual Language | Print Collateral | Signage | Interior | Web
Inspired by the popular Giro d'Italia (translates Tour of Italy), John wanted to reflect the restaurant's concept of fast-cooking yet healthy menu made daily.
Winner of 2015 GDUSA Awards for Packaging.
STRATEGY
The development of the identity involved a close examination of vintage bike race posters, trendy boutique restaurants in NYC, and signs and logos that already existed in the neighborhood.
The result is a popping color palette consisting of shades of gray and black and an energetic golden yellow to reflect the sports theme and the color of fresh pasta. Signage was created to accentuate the sprawling 3,300 square feet space with seating for 55 people.
