BACKGROUND

A personal project to create promotional packaging for Cypress, a paper mill with a long history of producing specialty paper in small batches. As a celebration for Copper, the color of 2015 chosen by Pantone, a series of limited edition gift boxes were created to celebrate various aspects of the metal.

STRATEGY

I researched themes like Cyprus the island country (known in antiquity for its copper resources), distillery (for creating strong spirits like whiskey and brandy), and popular culture influences (steampunk and 1920s Art Deco).
The result is a wide range of logos, patterns and illustrations embellished with flashes of copper (foil stamping) on these paper-wrapped tin boxes.
